Ingredients
  • 1 Cup Warm Water
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Active Dry Yeast
  • 3 Tbsp Butter (Softened, Cut In Cubes)
  • 4 Tbsp Sugar
  • 3 Cups Flour
Instructions
  1. Using the dough hook on the mixer, add in warm water, yeast and sugar. Mix for a few seconds. Let rise for a couple minutes. It will start to expand and look bubbly.
  2. Add salt, butter, and 1 cup of flour and mix. Add in the rest of the flour 1 cup at a time.
  3. When it's all mixed, knead dough in mixer for 8 minutes.
  4. Form into a ball shape and put into a bowl sprayed lightly with cooking spray. Cover with Saran Wrap sprayed with cooking spray. Let rise until doubled (usually about an hour)
  5. Take out and shape into an oval shape onto a floured canvas.
  6. To braid: cut into 3 strips, not cutting all the way through on one end. Stretch out the 3 pieces and braid it.
  7. Put it on a cookie sheet that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Cover the bread with Saran Wrap sprayed with cooking spray. Let rise 1 hour.
  8. Bake at 350 for 17-23 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool for 5 minutes. Brush with butter.
