Yes, Mom's favorite. This absolutely delicious, cholesterol-inducing, potentially dangerous recipe includes THREE sticks of butter and RAW eggs. Be sure to keep this in the fridge and make just as much as you'll think you'll eat in a few days.

Olympia Creams is an old Stevens family recipe usually made around the Holidays. The creamy texture and slight caramel taste make this a favorite. Though you'll need a fair amount of time to stir, it's still worth it. NOTE: This recipe came from Grandma Lillian Stevens. Mom copied it from somewhere and the instructions were pretty cryptic. It took trial and error to figure out the "temperature of new milk." After several failed attempts and years of trying we finally got it down. As far as we know, our family is the only one on the Davis side who can make it. We have never added nuts, I have estimated the amount that might be added. EXTRA NOTE: This recipe doesn't exist on the internet. It must be called something else.

The vanilla boiled icing tops off the Red Velvet cake! This recipe came from Great-Grandma Viola Davis's baby sister, Verna Faye. It's an old family recipe. (Originally, when Grandma told Mom about the recipe, Grandma said she wasn't sure the butter went in it. Mom had a line on the original recipe that said "butter" but was crossed out. Later when comparing this to Paula Deen's recipe, Mom noticed the butter. Since then, the frosting has been smooth and not lumpy like early Rader family cakes.)

Ok. I know it sounds gross. Who would think of such a thing right? One word- Delicious! Try it even with your prejudices. Tastes much like peanut brittle.
